Rhonda Brown

Rhonda Brown was born in Mitchell on August 12, 1969, the second child of Patricia and Charles Brimberry.  Her parents separated when she was ten years old.  Although Rhonda's father was active in her life, she was raised by her mother.  Rhonda attended Pelham Elementary School and graduated from Pelham High School in 1988.  It was right before graduation that she met her husband Kenneth Brown and later had two girls LeDondria and KenJanai.

 

Rhonda's love for film and television along with creative writing began at the early stage of elementary when she was just in first grade. Rhonda wrote her first poem for her class and read it aloud.  Her first skit was written in second grade. She wrote, acted and directed this skit for her class and received an A on the assignment.  In her teen years love for film grew as she gained a love for being in control of the camera. Rhonda's love for writing, entertaining, and camera operations grew more and more as she got older.  She continued to write comical poems and articles to.  Not only that, but Rhonda continued to write as a hobby and for personal therapy. She has written poems, songs, plays and stories and even written for companies as part of her job assignments. 

 

 In 1993 she wrote a play for a magazine competition, the play was called "Never too Old for Love."  The play received honorable mentioned.  Rhonda decided to further her education to get a better job to support her family.  She attended Thomas Technical College, but before completion got a government job.  Later she attended American InterContinental University in Atlanta Georgia where she received her A.A. in Business Administrations.  It wasn't until eight years later Rhonda decided to go back to her first love, and that was writing.  To validate her gift of writing she enrolled in Southern New Hampshire University to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing/English with a concentration in Screenwriting.  Rhonda has received two President’s List awards and One Dean’s List award.  Rhonda is also an active member of Sigma Alpha Pi. Rhonda’s love for film and television has compelled her to reinvent herself and pursue a career in the film and television industry.
